We recently got in touch with a really cool young lady from California, Kate Sikorski- a surfer, artist, feminist, and idealist. She is working on a art/social project where she gives free surfing lessons to local Muslim women, and with their consent draws portraits of them in the act of surfing! How cool is that! You can visit her site at http://katesikorski.com/

Thank you again for addressing this question. I will be exploring the magnetic pins and hair clip options.
this was great :) my dad always used to take me out at night ( so noone can see us) to a park close by that in some areas had no light, and would tell me to take my hijab off, untie my hair and run in the wind!! the best memories of my life.. my blog: http://ritzyfoto.wordpress.com
